Ustaz Ahmad Sonhadji (Mohamad) was a renowned and respected Muslim scholar from Singapore. He was born in 18th August 1922 (24 Zulhijjah 1340H) in Surakarta (Solo), Central Java, Indonesia. In 1927, at the age of five, he travelled with his parents to Singapore and lived with the Solo community at the Jalan Sultan area known as Pasir Gembur. Later, his family moved to Rengat (Sumatra).
