In October 2006, Google bought Youtube for $1.65bn. Youtube was then a still-unprofitable startup. Everything changed with Google acquisition.
Google realized that people love to use Youtube as a video sharing site and the same people will use Google for search.
They wont do the both in Google. Google ultimately killed its Google Video project.
At YouTube, you’re the star, the director, the producer. Its your own TV show, it’s all about you. What you see, what you do, and what you envision – YouTube became the venue to express… whatever.
And now the video limit is up to 15 mins.
