Computer Programming
An overview of computer programming.
I self-taught myself some of computer programming.
I learnt about:
- Machine code / Assembly language (on the z80 processor)
- Basic
- Forth
- Unix
- C++
After that everything became easier. Now learning about:
Wave goodbye to Goggle Wave
It looks promising initially.
Personally, I tried to use it. I guess its before its time. It wasn't easy and requires a new paradigm shift in thinking.
Unfortunately, not everyone is an early adopter.
Anything too complex will never be successful.
That's why iPhone is successful.

Double oops
It seemed yesterday multiple post from Journeyman Journeys have affected Blogger.
The two post are:
The usual thing is that whenever I post to Posterous, Blogger will also be updated. This morning, I've posted two entries.
It appeared in Wordpress.com and not in Blogger.
The two post are:
Check Posterous Autopost setting and it shows:
Failed
Updates from Journeyman
Reason: request error 400: Blog has exceeded rate limit or otherwise requires word verification for new post
Next attempt in about 4 hours
Failed
Evolution of Gaming
Reason: request error 400: Blog has exceeded rate limit or otherwise requires word verification for new post
Next attempt in 8 minutes
Saw the word verification at the bottom of Blogger editor.
If you make a large number of posts in a single day, you will be required to complete word verification. After 24 hours, the word verification will automatically be removed.
I guess this morning multiple blog posting triggered Blogger anti-spam measures. I just have to wait 24 hours. It sucks. My hosted Wordpress blog is unaffected.
Anyway, Blogger was notorious for spam blogs or splogs. Some people created multiple blogs, just to take advantage of Adsense.
Initially, they did gained some money, then Google wised up. Its good that Google is cleaning up its act.
Even today, there are some people who believe that the can create multiple blogs and pump in stolen content, in the hope that people will read (Splogs) and click on the advertisement. And they say they are sharing the knowledge.
Splogs are like Junk mail and must be first thrown in the rubbish.

Multiple Lifestream Events
Oops. Testing out new plugin for posting from my main blog: JourneymanJourneys.com to Posterous.
I'm running a Lifestream plugin on my main blog. It seemed to autopost itself over and over.
Switched off the Lifestream plugin.
That will probably drive anybody mad.

Cleaning up on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Blogger.
Sorry about that.

State of YouTube .
In October 2006, Google bought Youtube for $1.65bn. Youtube was then a still-unprofitable startup. Everything changed with Google acquisition.
Google realized that people love to use Youtube as a video sharing site and the same people will use Google for search.
They wont do the both in Google. Google ultimately killed its Google Video project.
At YouTube, you’re the star, the director, the producer. Its your own TV show, it’s all about you. What you see, what you do, and what you envision – YouTube became the venue to express… whatever.
And now the video limit is up to 15 mins.
The Infographic below from our friends at Flowtown truly puts it all in perspective.
