When SARS struck, the original was ARS or Acute Respiratory Syndrome. The acronym spelled out as ARS. It presented a problem, for newspaper editors and everyone as well.
Imagine the headline:
"Asia struck by ARS.",
"How do you know if you have ARS?"It was subsequently decided to rename it as SARS. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
Now what has all this got to do with MUIS?
They decided to use ARS.
Malay Muslims attempt at English language that falls short.
Makes me wonder. Forgive me Allah SWT.
