Muslim group wants government to call plane attack terrorism

A leading Muslim advocacy group is pushing government officials to call the suicide plane crash in Texas “an act of terror,” saying that if a Muslim had been flying the plane there would be no hesitancy to call it terrorism.
On Thursday, Andrew Joseph Stack III flew a small plane into the IRS's four-story office building in Austin, killing himself and at least one federal employee. Before the incident, Stack allegedly left a series of messages on a website expressing his disgust with the IRS, saying at one point that “violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer.”
“Whenever an individual or group attacks civilians in order to make a political statement, that is an act of terror,” said Nihad Awad, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
“Terrorism is terrorism, regardless of the faith, race or ethnicity of the perpetrator or the victims,” said Awad, adding in a statement that “if a Muslim had carried out the IRS attack, it would have surely been labeled an act of terrorism.”
In the hours after the crash, Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo told reporters that the incident looked to be “a criminal act by a lone individual.” And while Acevedo refrained from calling it an act of terror, he said the FBI, which is heading the investigation, would make the judgment call on how to categorize the crash.
A spokesman with the FBI’s San Antonio office on Friday said that the FBI was handling the case “as a criminal matter of an assault on a federal officer” and that it was not being considered as an act of terror at this time.
The White House had yet to make a public statement about how it viewed Thursday’s incident, other than to say that both President Barack Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano had been notified and had asked to be kept apprised of the situation.
But two lawmakers from the area were quick to call the plane crash, which resulted in two seriously injured people and 13 people with minor injuries, an act of terror.
“Like the larger-scale tragedy in Oklahoma City, this was a cowardly act of domestic terrorism,” said Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) in a statement.
And Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas), at a press conference following the crash, told a reporter that “it sounds like it [a terrorist attack] to me.”
McCaul, who is the ranking Republican on the Homeland Security subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing and Terrorist Assessment, added that he would be pushing the committee to look at how federal buildings can be made safer from plane attacks.
“This was obviously a deliberate, intentional attack on a federal building,” said McCaul “It’s something that I’ll be working with the police chief and the FBI to get to the bottom of this and to find out how we can better protect the American people.”

But some members - like the ranking Republican of the Homeland Security Committee Rep. Peter King (N.Y.) - are still on the fence as to whether the attack should be labeled as a terrorist act.
"I am reserving judgment to see whether he had any link whatever to any questionable group or organization," said King in a statement to The Hill on Friday.

If he was a Muslim, every western aligned news wire will hysterically propagate the news. "War on terror" is a euphemism for "____________________"

Joe Stack III suicide Note:
If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt asking yourself, “Why did this have to happen?”  The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time.  The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn’t enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken.  Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes with example after example if I would let it.  I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless… especially given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head.  Exactly what is therapeutic about that I’m not sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy.  Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all.  We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers.  Remember? One of these was “no taxation without representation”.  I have spent the total years of my adulthood unlearning that crap from only a few years of my childhood.  These days anyone who really stands up for that principal is promptly labeled a “crackpot”, traitor and worse.
While very few working people would say they haven’t had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind.  Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say.
Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours?  Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies.  Yet, the political “representatives” (thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the “terrible health care problem”.  It’s clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don’t get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.
And justice? You’ve got to be kidding!
How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system?  Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand.  Yet, it mercilessly “holds accountable” its victims, claiming that they’re responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand.  The law “requires” a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that’s not “duress” than what is.  If this is not the measure of a totalitarian regime, nothing is.
How did I get here?
My introduction to the real American nightmare starts back in the early ‘80s.  Unfortunately after more than 16 years of school, somewhere along the line I picked up the absurd, pompous notion that I could read and understand plain English.  Some friends introduced me to a group of people who were having ‘tax code’ readings and discussions.  In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful “exemptions” that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy.  We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the “best”, high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the “big boys” were doing (except that we weren’t steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God).  We took a great deal of care to make it all visible, following all of the rules, exactly the way the law said it was to be done.
The intent of this exercise and our efforts was to bring about a much-needed re-evaluation of the laws that allow the monsters of organized religion to make such a mockery of people who earn an honest living.  However, this is where I learned that there are two “interpretations” for every law; one for the very rich, and one for the rest of us… Oh, and the monsters are the very ones making and enforcing the laws; the inquisition is still alive and well today in this country.
That little lesson in patriotism cost me $40,000+, 10 years of my life, and set my retirement plans back to 0.  It made me realize for the first time that I live in a country with an ideology that is based on a total and complete lie.  It also made me realize, not only how naive I had been, but also the incredible stupidity of the American public; that they buy, hook, line, and sinker, the crap about their “freedom”… and that they continue to do so with eyes closed in the face of overwhelming evidence and all that keeps happening in front of them.
Before even having to make a shaky recovery from the sting of the first lesson on what justice really means in this country (around 1984 after making my way through engineering school and still another five years of “paying my dues”), I felt I finally had to take a chance of launching my dream of becoming an independent engineer.
On the subjects of engineers and dreams of independence, I should digress somewhat to say that I’m sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father.  I realized this at a very young age.
The significance of independence, however, came much later during my early years of college; at the age of 18 or 19 when I was living on my own as student in an apartment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  My neighbor was an elderly retired woman (80+ seemed ancient to me at that age) who was the widowed wife of a retired steel worker.  Her husband had worked all his life in the steel mills of central Pennsylvania with promises from big business and the union that, for his 30 years of service, he would have a pension and medical care to look forward to in his retirement.  Instead he was one of the thousands who got nothing because the incompetent mill management and corrupt union (not to mention the government) raided their pension funds and stole their retirement.  All she had was social security to live on.
In retrospect, the situation was laughable because here I was living on peanut butter and bread (or Ritz crackers when I could afford to splurge) for months at a time.  When I got to know this poor figure and heard her story I felt worse for her plight than for my own (I, after all, I thought I had everything to in front of me).  I was genuinely appalled at one point, as we exchanged stories and commiserated with each other over our situations, when she in her grandmotherly fashion tried to convince me that I would be “healthier” eating cat food (like her) rather than trying to get all my substance from peanut butter and bread.  I couldn’t quite go there, but the impression was made.  I decided that I didn’t trust big business to take care of me, and that I would take responsibility for my own future and myself.
Return to the early ‘80s, and here I was off to a terrifying start as a ‘wet-behind-the-ears’ contract software engineer... and two years later, thanks to the fine backroom, midnight effort by the sleazy executives of Arthur Andersen (the very same folks who later brought us Enron and other such calamities) and an equally sleazy New York Senator (Patrick Moynihan), we saw the passage of 1986 tax reform act with its section 1706.
For you who are unfamiliar, here is the core text of the IRS Section 1706, defining the treatment of workers (such as contract engineers) for tax purposes. Visit this link for a conference committee report (http://www.synergistech.com/1706.shtml#ConferenceCommitteeReport) regarding the intended interpretation of Section 1706 and the relevant parts of Section 530, as amended. For information on how these laws affect technical services workers and their clients, read our discussion here (http://www.synergistech.com/ic-taxlaw.shtml).
SEC. 1706. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.
(a) IN GENERAL - Section 530 of the Revenue Act of 1978 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:
(d) EXCEPTION. - This section shall not apply in the case of an individual who pursuant to an arrangement between the taxpayer and another person, provides services for such other person as an engineer, designer, drafter, computer programmer, systems analyst, or other similarly skilled worker engaged in a similar line of work.
(b) EFFECTIVE DATE. - The amendment made by this section shall apply to remuneration paid and services rendered after December 31, 1986.
Note:
·      "another person" is the client in the traditional job-shop relationship.
·      "taxpayer" is the recruiter, broker, agency, or job shop.
·      "individual", "employee", or "worker" is you.

Admittedly, you need to read the treatment to understand what it is saying but it’s not very complicated.  The bottom line is that they may as well have put my name right in the text of section (d).  Moreover, they could only have been more blunt if they would have came out and directly declared me a criminal and non-citizen slave.  Twenty years later, I still can’t believe my eyes.
During 1987, I spent close to $5000 of my ‘pocket change’, and at least 1000 hours of my time writing, printing, and mailing to any senator, congressman, governor, or slug that might listen; none did, and they universally treated me as if I was wasting their time.  I spent countless hours on the L.A. freeways driving to meetings and any and all of the disorganized professional groups who were attempting to mount a campaign against this atrocity.  This, only to discover that our efforts were being easily derailed by a few moles from the brokers who were just beginning to enjoy the windfall from the new declaration of their “freedom”.  Oh, and don’t forget, for all of the time I was spending on this, I was loosing income that I couldn’t bill clients.
After months of struggling it had clearly gotten to be a futile exercise.  The best we could get for all of our trouble is a pronouncement from an IRS mouthpiece that they weren’t going to enforce that provision (read harass engineers and scientists).  This immediately proved to be a lie, and the mere existence of the regulation began to have its impact on my bottom line; this, of course, was the intended effect.
Again, rewind my retirement plans back to 0 and shift them into idle.  If I had any sense, I clearly should have left abandoned engineering and never looked back.
Instead I got busy working 100-hour workweeks.  Then came the L.A. depression of the early 1990s.  Our leaders decided that they didn’t need the all of those extra Air Force bases they had in Southern California, so they were closed; just like that.  The result was economic devastation in the region that rivaled the widely publicized Texas S&L fiasco.  However, because the government caused it, no one gave a shit about all of the young families who lost their homes or street after street of boarded up houses abandoned to the wealthy loan companies who received government funds to “shore up” their windfall.  Again, I lost my retirement.
Years later, after weathering a divorce and the constant struggle trying to build some momentum with my business, I find myself once again beginning to finally pick up some speed.  Then came the .COM bust and the 911 nightmare.  Our leaders decided that all aircraft were grounded for what seemed like an eternity; and long after that, ‘special’ facilities like San Francisco were on security alert for months.  This made access to my customers prohibitively expensive.  Ironically, after what they had done the Government came to the aid of the airlines with billions of our tax dollars … as usual they left me to rot and die while they bailed out their rich, incompetent cronies WITH MY MONEY!  After these events, there went my business but not quite yet all of my retirement and savings.
By this time, I’m thinking that it might be good for a change.  Bye to California, I’ll try Austin for a while.  So I moved, only to find out that this is a place with a highly inflated sense of self-importance and where damn little real engineering work is done.  I’ve never experienced such a hard time finding work.  The rates are 1/3 of what I was earning before the crash, because pay rates here are fixed by the three or four large companies in the area who are in collusion to drive down prices and wages… and this happens because the justice department is all on the take and doesn’t give a fuck about serving anyone or anything but themselves and their rich buddies.
To survive, I was forced to cannibalize my savings and retirement, the last of which was a small IRA.  This came in a year with mammoth expenses and not a single dollar of income.  I filed no return that year thinking that because I didn’t have any income there was no need.  The sleazy government decided that they disagreed.  But they didn’t notify me in time for me to launch a legal objection so when I attempted to get a protest filed with the court I was told I was no longer entitled to due process because the time to file ran out.  Bend over for another $10,000 helping of justice.
So now we come to the present.  After my experience with the CPA world, following the business crash I swore that I’d never enter another accountant’s office again.  But here I am with a new marriage and a boatload of undocumented income, not to mention an expensive new business asset, a piano, which I had no idea how to handle.  After considerable thought I decided that it would be irresponsible NOT to get professional help; a very big mistake.
When we received the forms back I was very optimistic that they were in order.  I had taken all of the years information to Bill Ross, and he came back with results very similar to what I was expecting.  Except that he had neglected to include the contents of Sheryl’s unreported income; $12,700 worth of it. To make matters worse, Ross knew all along this was missing and I didn’t have a clue until he pointed it out in the middle of the audit.  By that time it had become brutally evident that he was representing himself and not me.
This left me stuck in the middle of this disaster trying to defend transactions that have no relationship to anything tax-related (at least the tax-related transactions were poorly documented).  Things I never knew anything about and things my wife had no clue would ever matter to anyone.  The end result is… well, just look around.
I remember reading about the stock market crash before the “great” depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything.  Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usual”.  Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.
As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone.  The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government.  Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough).  In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.
I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand.  It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants.  I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after.  But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change.  I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.
I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less.  I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are.  Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer.  The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.
I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different.  I am finally ready to stop this insanity.  Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

Multi Level Marketing

Cont...........................................................................................................................................

The other thing, detractors always point out is that MLM products are expensive. Expensive is a relative term. To a person earning $10,000, $100 is pocket change. For someone who earns $1000, $100 is a sizable amount. What I am saying is that, if you think it is expensive, its expensive. Don't look at the price, instead look at its value.

To me Crocs shoes are over priced. I still don't get it why people buy, basically a pair of plastic, made in China, where I can have a better quality shoe for the same price.

In every profession, there are bad apples. Do you think there are no rotten lawyers, cops, doctors, judges? Of course there are. Same with sales, sometimes these people get on my nerves, that doesn't mean they are all the same.

MLM companies claim their products are the very best. Of course, why not? Did BMW claimed their cars are the best? What about Porsche? Mercedes? Did you recently go to a restaurant and it claimed its dish is the best? There is nothing wrong with that. What about you? Do you have a best product? As a consumer, it is up to you to judge.

Some MLM companies claim that you need only to work once and everything else will be self-generating income for life. That is of course, not true. If they claimed it, then run. In every profession, you can be the top guy, provided you work for it. Let me say it again, you must work for it to be at the top. There are no shortcuts or magic spells to it.

So is MLM that bad or is it a harmless marketing strategy.

It all boils down to you.

If you liked the product, then buy it, tell your MLM friend that you only interested in the product. A good company will have the option for you just to purchase just the product.

Avoid those that require you to pay a huge sum of money up front. They should have something less than $200 for you to start off it.

A long time ago, I happened to have a meeting with a Caucasian man, at a hotel cafe in Singapore. He was promoting a multi-level scheme. Back then I didn't know what it was all about. Guess what products he was trying to sell, cosmetics. Yes cosmetics use by ladies. I told him that I do not know a thing about cosmetics. He said no problem, just introduce it to my girlfriend or wife, mother. The other thing, he said I need to purchase a starter kit, consisting of a range of products which cost $5,000.

In a flash I was out of the hotel.

Surprisingly, now some people still fall for it. They paid something like $5,000 or so, to start off. Maybe they thought it would be "self-generating" income.

If you really believe in the spiel, then do your research. Ask about the products, what goes into it, tested by whom and ask for the compensation plan. It must be simple. If your upline or friend can't explain it properly, then I would suggest you not get into it. If your friend can't explain it, do you think you can?

If the company requires you to go to meetings over and over again, or ask you to buy tapes, books or so called "success resources", avoid them. You will end up with tons of materials and it will end up in your closet.

The key to MLM is duplication. It must be simple to duplicate. I stress the word SIMPLE. If you didn't find it simple, how on earth would your next sponsor be able to do it?

When you go on the web, sometimes you see websites, proclaiming to let you earn thousands, if not tons of money, just by buying their product. You must understand what are you selling.

I have someone who tried to sell me a website where I can recruit other people to sell websites. So I asked him, what exactly am I going to sell to people. Membership to a website where you can put up your own stuff and get others to do the same. Isn't that plain ridiculous. I have to come up with an upfront fee, pay monthly fees for the same website that repeated over and over again, same content, only the names are different. The important point is, is it SIMPLE?

I can go to Go Daddy and get a cheap domain name with hosting.

The choice is yours. Just do your homework before committing.

And remember, you have to work on it to get it working for you.

Me? I'm just happy to buy some of their products.

Multi Level Marketing

Multi-Level-Marketing or MLM is a word that evokes passionate expressions from people who heard it. It normally fall in the extreme view; either you like it or don't. Those who like it, borders near to religiosity and those who hate it are the same. You can't put these groups of people together.

Why is such a word as MLM can evoked such a passion? Try this, go around and tell everyone you meet that you are in a MLM organization, and see their reactions. Most would be polite, one or two may want to know more, and in fact you might even "sponsor" (as they say in MLM parlance) one of your friends. Though the majority would just avoid you.

So what exactly is this word? A word that could even break up marriages (yes, it had happened).

MLM is actually a simple sales method. There is nothing wrong in selling stuff to people or even your friends. Everyday, you are selling something to everyone. To your colleagues, in getting them to agree to go to lunch at a particular place, and right down to your kids, getting them to do their homework. Of course others are doing it too. It doesn't have to be an exchange of money, maybe a simple gesture of covering up for your lateness at work to maybe changing shifts with a colleague. Even with friends, relatives, and in most that we interact closely. Unless you are a hermit.

Even me, I got you to read this post, didn't I?

What MLM does is sells through your network of friends or those that you know. It's funny how one can overreact to this. I do not know what rules these people have, it seemed that its wrong to sell things to your friend (which they have already been doing), instead its perfectly alright if their friends buy from other people (like shopkeepers, store owners, food stalls)?

Its actually a simple sales strategy that works on the principle of word of mouth. How many have seen the latest movie by James Cameron? Need I say the title? And its simply because of this a lot of people went and see it (I did, together with family).

The thing is, did you get paid for recommending the film? Of course not, nonetheless you still talk about it. The product range could as simple as your favorite perfume or to your favorite restaurant and even your favorite vacation place.

That's where MLM comes in. It pays you based on your recommendation to your friend, to get the product and it goes on and on.

Detractors simply point out that if that were to happen, you need another planet to sell more. Of course that won't happen. Do you have a TV set at home? What about a fridge? Handphone? Practically everyone has it. When you go out, do you still see shops selling these items? Of course there are. Why? Simply because people will replace these items over time. With MLM, not everyone will buy, those that buy, can drop off and join again and so on. So as you can see, there can never be a saturation point. Not everybody will buy every time.

................................................To be continued (I'm a bit tired because of my new project and nope its not about MLM). See you tomorrow.

A new Beginning

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

Tomorrow, I will sail forth to a new venture. I take risk, not unfounded risk, instead calculated risk. It is in my nature. I am not one who plays it safe, I don't go to "work" as they say. I create work.

Not many would understand it. Do not take advice from those who have not done what you have done, even though they are your close relatives. Even for those who have and failed, use their failure as an opportunity to learn. Many times, I have friends in business who failed and some gave up, when you asked them, inevitably, they will say its better not to risk everything, just work for someone else, let them take the risk.

Don't sympathize with them, instead empathize, get to know how they fail and learn from their failure. It is always better to learn from other people's failure than your own.

Always believe in what you do. Never, never, never take advice from anyone (includes your relatives, your mom and dad too), who have not done what you have done.

Some people are fearful, they need so called "blessings" from people. I'm a muslim and yes, you do have to respect your parents. It doesn't mean they have the power to confer "blessings". I'm a father too, I have four kids. Do they need my blessings?

What I can do is guide them in making the right choices. I am fully aware that when they are 21, they are adults responsible for their own actions. Two of my kids are teenagers, I talk to them about a lot of topics, and yes it includes sex, porn and drugs too. I will always discuss to them about the implications. I always tell them, just because everyone thinks that it is alright to do it, it doesn't mean its right. What we need to do is access it objectively.

Anyway, as I said, its good to be setting up things on a New Chinese New Year. Don't get me wrong, I am not a believer of what the Chinese believe, it is just simply there are synergies that can be tapped on. It benefits everyone.

The past few days were wonderful, as I have time to be with family. Played games like Boogle (had to play with a handicap of -10). Next two quarters, I will probably be very busy. I will try to post an update regularly. Anyway posterous is great because I can just saved it as draft in gmail. So when I have some free time, I can add more again.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

Finally all my social media is integrated into google Buzz. On Buzz, Picasa, blogspot.com, Twitter, Posterous, Google Reader.

As you can see, on the left, Facebook and Twitter is also connected.

Once again Gmail can probably have another winner here.

World may not be warming, say scientists - Times Online

The United Nations climate panel faces a new challenge with scientists casting doubt on its claim that global temperatures are rising inexorably because of human pollution.

In its last assessment the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the evidence that the world was warming was %u201Cunequivocal%u201D.

It warned that greenhouse gases had already heated the world by 0.7C and that there could be 5C-6C more warming by 2100, with devastating impacts on humanity and wildlife. However, new research, including work by British scientists, is casting doubt on such claims. Some even suggest the world may not be warming much at all.

%u201CThe temperature records cannot be relied on as indicators of global change,%u201D said John Christy, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a former lead author on the IPCC.

Checking autopost on Posterous

Ok. Finally decided that I will use Posterous. It is just simple. I just want to get it started. The tipping point is that it can simultaneously post to my Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Picasa, Scribd and Blogspot.

Blogspot can in fact accept email posting. The downside, it doesn't update the rest of my social networks. Probably it could, maybe even the rest of the social networks. I hate going through various setting, menus, its enough to drive anyone nuts. I probably can do it, it just takes time.

In fact I'm new in this social networking. I decided only to shift into high gear only in January 2010. I did have a Facebook account before, though, I deleted it last year. Only this year I reactivated it and yes I got a personalised address: http://www.facebook.com/gazali.ahmad. Isn't that cool.

Time is the critical factor. One post is all it takes. In fact in from my Gmail account, I can just build up the thread from the previous post.

That's the good thing about web-based browser, you can access it anywhere.

The good point about Blogspot is that it is easy to add in widgets. It can easily be integrated into the blog. Posterous can do that, though you need to know html and css. I'm a little bit lazy in that, I'd just automation.

I always believe that technology should be in the background supporting you and not in front screaming for attention.

The possibilities are endless. For example, on the email, I can create a subject, say for example, Vacation in Maldives (nearly went there but had to cancel due to last minute business concern). Of course when you are on a vacation, you want to enjoy yourself. What you can do is enjoy yourself during the day, take pictures, videos, etc, then before you turn in, email all the photos and whatever with your comments. Posterous will email back stating your email has been posted.

Just email it. Post everywhere? post@posterous.com, Twitter only? twitter@posterous.com, Facebook only? facebook@posterous.com.

The next night before you turn in, just reply back to the same email; the same subject matter will appear. The one thing that usually slows me down is to think of an eye-catching phrase. Though, I do know a lot of people would just simply stop because they can't think of a better subject header.

The topic can be varied, for example about, Family, Relatives, Business, Holiday, I leave it to your imagination. I'll be thinking of a couple of subjects that I will write about. Probably it will set the style.

Right on I'm trying Google Buzz. It is trying to be like facebook in an email style. You can upload pics, videos, etc and write something about it. Then it can be seen by the public or you can choose to share only with a small group of people.

The critical point: You have to have a gmail account. Not everyone has it and not everyone is willing to change. i wouldn't change my Gmail account.

I remember back in 2004, Same situation, I was choosing which email to use. there was Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail and a whole lot of others. I had accounts with all 3 and various other email accounts. I settled for Gmail because it seemed to be very innovative at that time. And true enough it still is. My office email is set to forward email to my gmail account and I reply back in gmail and the person who received it would see the [From] My office email.

I can also reply back using [From] My yahoo email and Hotmail though I think they have shut down inactive emails.

The ads are very unobtrusive, I don't think it appears anywhere in the email. There are no flash ads, which I totally hate, when you log on Gmail. You know, the ones that animates when you go to a website. I'm using Firefox on my old PC and Chrome on my laptop and both I have "Flash Killer". Stops 'em dead everytime.

Ok its Posterous then.

Nadia Fazlini

A few days ago, a friend called and asked me about Nadia Fazlini.

"Who's she?", I hardly watch TV and Suria is off my radar totally.

"The Suria actress! There is a sex tape on her!"

"Ok"

That pique my interest. Went over to IMDd site, searched for "Nadia Fazlini"

Whoa her STARmeter is 5,931%!!!!. She acted in "Anak Metropolitan" back in 2002 and its MOVIEmeter is 1,140%.
I have got to watch Suria. It seemed that the shows are of an exceptional quality and its stars are out of this world.

My friend said there is a sex tape of her online. She knows that I'm quite savvy in getting it and we both did a search. In a couple of minutes, I've got her pictures in full "blow" glory. (Nope I'm not going to post it here. And don't ask for the link). I particularly do not like explicit pictures. Another couple of minutes, the video in flash format (Again no links here and I will not give it to you). Another couple of minutes, got the free download (No, no, no and no).

{Google search engine on top left corner, ok}

I guess a description would be ok. The location seemed to be in a hotel room. A news radio program in Malay was playing. Sounds like its in Malaysia. Was she forced or unwilling? Nope, she was willing and seemed to be posing for the camera. Quite a clear footage lasting about 4 minutes. Started with a blow and ended with a conventional entry. Its not back door. The boyfriend face wasn't even seen.

My take: Its not her first time.

That's it.

This kind of videos are a dime a dozen. The only thing that propels it, would probably she was on a Singapore Government Media and a Malay. Then again there are a lot of Malay sex videos out there (again do not ask me how to find it).

I do not know what was going on her mind at that point of time. Does she really believe her boyfriend would not post the video? Did he post it because she married to another guy? A case of jilted lovers? Maybe it was stolen and somebody else posted it? Who knows?

Look, what we do in private stays that way. Don't even think of taking pictures or videos, boyfriends and girlfriends, wives and husband can change.

I guess she paid the price for being naive.

The Secret mission

A short story by my son, Aiman, 7 year old.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Secret mission

There was a village called Mayo. One day, the sun was covered by all the clouds and when they move away, it was frozen. There was no sunlight and the village got cold and slowly was frozen.
In the village, there was a boy, he was the chosen one, to do the secret mission. But he didn't know about it. Along came a soldier who was wounded in a war, He had a important message to tell. He found the boy and told him, "you are the chosen one to do the secret mission" and with that he died from his wounds.
The captain came and told him what to do. He said, "I will give you the power to get the sun back"
The boy needed to fly high and shoot the sun with the power given to him by the captain. "You must not let anybody else know what you are doing" The boy agreed. He got on a rocket to take him near the sun. When he is near the sun, he used the power and shoot at the sun. Slowly the sun became warmer and wasn't freezing.
He returned back and no one in his village knew what happened. They were just happy that it was not cold anymore and they lived happily.

Checking autopost on Posterous

Oh what the hell. I'm just tired. Just email post it posterous and let it update everywhere. Until I figure it how it works.

I have managed to link my Facebook, Twitter account into Gmail {image 1}. Connected my Buzz to 4 sites {image 2}. On Buzz got 3 followers. Those who want to follow me on Buzz feel free. Maybe later I'll write the step-by-step on how to connect your online life.

Buzz is interesting. They could have added more support for other social sites like Digg, Facebook and a whole lot of others. Its just like gmail when it first went online. I believe it will evolve given time. Just look at gmail. Its my main contact point. In a day I can received numerous email.

I nearly went crazy until I discovered filters and labels. Right now my emailed is filtered to 96 labels. Only those important ones are in my inbox (like from work and your significant others, friends), they rest just went into the labels.

It doesn't clogged up my inbox, and I can read the others at a more convenient time. I do not know about you, I find an empty inbox therapeutic, and with all unread emails slotted into the appropriate label.

I like the Google Wave though I find it complex. The average user would probably get lost in it, heck some can't even find their way around emails.

One tip for those who loved to email or forward to lots of people. Do not use the [To:] field, instead use the [Bcc:] field. It means Blind Carbon Copy. You can put 100 names into it and the guy who received the email wouldn't know who you sent it to. The [To:] field will show everyone else email address.

My wife would probably be lost in this. All she wants is a START button in the middle of the screen. Click it and it will ask what you want to do. Then it will activate the appropriate application. How it saved the file and what it does its up to the OS to manage.

That would be nice.

Checking autopost on Posterous

A little bit confused. This post is to check on the twitter link up. Can't remember where it points to. Decided that http://gazali-ahmad.blogspot.com/ will be my main blog and http://gazali.posterous.com would be the feed to it.

Did you know? Gaza

Perpetrators, collaborators, bystanders, victims: we can be clear about three of these categories. The bystander, however, is the fulcrum. If there are enough notable exceptions, then protest reaches a critical mass. We don’t usually think of history as being shaped by silence, but, as English philosopher Edmund Burke said, ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing.’

Checking autopost on Posterous

It worked! This posterous is great. All I need to do is just email to it and voila, all my linked sites are updated.

That really saves time. Its just fantastic.

Next on the list is to get a custom domain and see how that works. I do have a couple of websites under my name. I'll be streamlining it soon.

Checking autopost on Posterous

I know that any post on Posterous will update Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Picasa, and Scribd.

A real time saver. Just one post and it updates the above. Real cool.

Now I'm testing on my Blogger page to see of it works or not.
